Reviews for Devs

This show is so underrated. It is slow, but also very atmospheric and haunting, almost hypnotising. Banger soundtrack too. Also more dramatic Nick Offerman roles pls? I mean, don't get me wrong, he's fucking hilarious, but damn he is good in those 2 dramatic roles I've seen him in (This and that one

It's been awhile since I've full on binged a show, but I simply couldn't get enough of "Devs". It's An 8 part Sci-Fi/conspiracy/murder mystery show written and directed by Alex Garland! I think I was always going to love it. The story follows Lily, who suspects her employer (a gigantic tech compan

Devs was the last Garland directed project I hadn’t seen before Civil War so of course I had to change that seeing it was only one season, and it was a really interesting journey of fate and choices. I know many people didn’t like Sonoya Mizuno as Lily, but I thought she was good and played her char

“The problem with the people who run tech companies, they become fanatics, and end up thinking they’re Messiahs” - These are very true words spoken in Devs. This show confirms for me that I am a fan Garland’s work. I love his visual language, the themes he portrays, the production design and cine

Scary creepy spooky

Fantastic series. One of the best science fiction pieces out there.

everything i needed plus a bonus of existential dread

Fucking love it. I finished this show like a year ago and I still think about it. Haunting and thought provoking. No spoiler, but, I think there is kind of one logical thing toward the end that I could see some people not enjoying. But I was fine with the ending and thought it was a great show.

This here is evidence that Alex Garland can also create a compelling Sci-fi miniseries

Alex Garland with another thought provoking sci-fi thriller

The cybernetic totalist's wet dream. It's amazing as a case study on the insanity of your average technologist. Directing and pacing are good, sound design is a huge highlight. Seems heavily inspired by qntm's short story "I Don't Know, Timmy, Being God Is a Big Responsibility". Garland is easily

Alex Garland's work continues to amaze me, his eye for exciting sci-fi/high concept stories make for absolutely essential viewing.

copied from letterboxd: this show is everything there were some things that took me out like the phone ui design which is kinda petty writing it out now and some of the characters actions but i guess thats the point. none of these things come close to outweighing the shots, the acting, the words,

I'm not a huge fan of Alex Garland.. I like his stuff ok but it's always a little too flawed. I think Devs is my favorite thing he's done. Apart, possibly, from Dredd :)

How do I log the entire history of our solar system on here? Really wanna give it a 2.5 mixed review.

what the fuck !!!!!

Pretty damn good. Loved this and what it had to say even if it gave me existential anxiety the entire time.

This show gave me an existential crisis.
