It's good with some bold stories. But a lot of times it doesn't know if it wants to be a comedy or drama.

ALLY MCBEAL is bombastic, button-pushing buffoonery on its best and worst days, fuelled by boldly playful showrunner DAVID E KELLEY’s manic pen and a game cast unafraid to belt some sour notes out - often literally - on the way to the sweet ones.

Definitely a weaker season but the writers have grown very comfortable introducing outlandish plotlines which is pretty fun

Season had its up and downs . Even compared to season 2. Lucy liu barely had anything to do. Glad Ally finally got bf but why did he have to be so boring
