Reviews for A Gentleman in Moscow

There is no doubt this will be one of my top shows of 2024. Ewan McGregor is so wonderful in this. It's actually surprising to see so few ratings!

This is by far Ewan McGregor’s best role ever and he completely exceeded my expectations, along with Mary Elizabeth Winstead who also gives a fantastic performance and her presence in the world of the show is felt throughout. Genuinely incredible 95/100

This series took me a while to finish. Started it on March 31st, ended on June 3rd. That’s because the first few episodes didn’t grip me all that much. In hindsight I can see what they were doing with them, but still. The beginning of the show is slow. I felt like each episode was a few minutes too

My plan was to watch two episodes a day. I ended up watching it all in one night. No surprise there. This series is so beautiful and painful in the best ways possible. Despite being only set in hotel, this series is able to explore the full length of the atrocities of what was happening during the

A brilliantly done riches-to-rags story! Completely underrated and fully riveting; it feels as if everyone is sleeping on this amazing show, especially the Emmys. The cast is colorful and fantastic, the plot is perfectly paced and the ending left me with a sense of sweet unknowns.

Really good mini-series, fascinating to see a story of a man who just sort of watches history pass him by without being able to be a part of it. Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are both fantastic.

Nur ein Wort: Herzerwärmend. ‐----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just one word: heartwarming.

A well-made miniseries with solid production design and phenomenal performances by the cast, especially Ewan McGregor, who elevates this show. The story is intriguing, but it is very stretched out and, at times, drags.

La actuación de Ewan McGregor 🤌🏻🤌🏻 Lo mejor que ha hecho en años

Cute, wholesome and unexpectedly devastating

Count Rostov is in my top 5 charming protagonists. Such excellence Ewan McGregor brings to the role.

sorry I'm with the Bolchevics on this one

Bit of a slow burner on this one, but quite the exquisite build-up indeed. I will definitely pick up the book later to peruse the source material upon which this mini-series is based upon. Jolly good show! Especially towards the latter half.

Wow, another fantastic series this year. It starts off in a somewhat average way, but after the third episode, it really hit me with a lot of raw emotions. The acting is outstanding, the plot is compelling, and the set design is excellent. I was particularly impressed with Ewan McGregor's performanc

Un agradable drama, que reconforta a la par que conmueve, sobre un aristócrata ruso con arresto domiciliario en un hotel de Moscú donde verá pasar la historia de la revolución soviética.

i started watching it only for ewan but i don’t regret it, it’s a really interesting story and ewan did an amazing job, i’m always in awe of how talented he is my number one favorite actor ever 🥺

I'm all for diverse casting, but not when you're tryna tell me half the Russians in 1920s Russia were black. The historical inaccuracy was very distracting and confusing. That aside, this is a poignant tale of people in dire circumstances saving each other and rebuilding their lives. All the acting

Loved the book, loved this. Do give yourself a little separation between the book and watching this series so the details are a little blurry and you don't get hung up on the changes.

I think this show (after having read the book) should be something everyone should see. I think its important to understand some history and context but this show was absolutely phenomenal, a wonderfully done adaptation.

A strong mini series by Paramount+ with a great performance by Ewan McGregor & Mary Elizabeth Winstead. There’s a really good story told here with some really good period production design. You wouldn’t believe that it’s shot in a warehouse in Manchester. I was super invested. Paramount + | Eight

The over done but frequent criticism of films these days is to say that they should have been a limited series. Meanwhile, this limited series would have been better and more concise in its ideas if it was a film. This series felt like it was drawn out far too much with episodes that didn't necess
