Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979)

S01 E10 · I Left My Neck in San Francisco
By far my favourite episode of this series so far. Such an interesting case, a really fun villain and I feel like they did great things with Daphne (for once). So good!

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979)

S01 E09 · Twenty Thousand Screams Under the Sea
Daphne: it’s a cave! Velma: No, Daphne, it’s a SEA CAVE. Girl those are the same thing. Other than that hilarious exchange, what EVEN, this was actually a super good one that I really enjoyed! For once the criminal behind the mask was actually logical, and really well signposted.

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979)

S01 E08 · The Hairy Scare of the Devil Bear
Another case, with this show, of being braced for something terrible and racist… And then it didn’t happen! Huzzah! So overall a fairly decent story.

This would’ve lost decided points had the native american (once again) been the villain, but they were not! So as it turns out this is a very fun story, where Daphne happily visits her highschool girlfriend and has a gay old time.

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979)

S01 E05 · Shiver and Shake, That Demon's a Snake
At least once a series Scooby Doo has to do a cultural appropriation episode. Well, I say HAS to. I don’t think they do have to, and I really wish they wouldn’t.

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979)

S01 E04 · The Neon Phantom of the Roller Disco!
The most seventies concept I can possibly imagine.

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979)

S01 E03 · Strange Encounters of a Scooby Kind
I was VERY disappointed that the lesbian with a mule turned out to be the villain in the end. ;; But it was a fairly fun story!

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979)

S01 E02 · The Night Ghoul of Wonderworld
Pleased to report that I liked this one significantly better. Velma is a nerd, Sherlock Holmes apparently shares a universe with Scooby Doo (he’s treated as a historical figure instead of a fictional character in this) and it’s basically a holodeck episode as done by Scooby Doo. Fantastic all around

To my mind it still remains probably the most wobbly “final finale” that Red Dwarf has done, but I still enjoy it so much and there are some absolutely great gags and callbacks throughout. Special shoutout to the Rat joke, which makes me laugh hysterically every single time.

I love when Red Dwarf takes a turn into sci-horror, and this is a great example of that. Add a very effective side swipe at capitalism on top, and this ends up as a hugely effective episode.

his hit hard in 2017 when it first aired, it hits even harder now when a Certain Country decided to do it all over again for no apparent reason. Love Rimmer once again choosing fascist dictatorship without a moment of hesitation, bless him. <3 Also love the Cat subplot with the glasses! Once again

I laughed SO HARD at this one, the perfectly chaotic concept! Especially loved the scene in prison, with the poor tutting man put in there for life.

The MILF joke is very funny, especially when they’re all chanting it, and everything that Chris Barrie does in this is just golden.

This one is incredibly funny all around. Loved Lister’s jam session with the worst person to ever exist, and Cat’s dynamic with Messalina. Oh! And the final scene with Cat is incredibly badass all around.

I said I was starting my rewatch of this several weeks ago, but finally got around to it now! …We will see how long it lasts. As a kid I really love Scrappy, buuuuuut as an adult I can FULLY acknowledge that kid!me had terrible taste. Anyway, this was fine! I must say, though, if a man dressed as B

This may be a minority opinion, but I stand by it: the modern series do a far better job with Cat, and give him so much great material. Of course he’s still a virgin, of course he’s stupid enough to fall for something like that, and the conclusion of the plot is just SO badass. I love him. I love hi

Another perfect example of Rimmer getting the tiniest bit of power and going completely insane. The Character of all time. <33

I found this one so funny! I loved the performance of the two guest actors in particular, but the interplay between Cat and poor Lister was also absolutely hilarious.

I liked it perhaps a little less than the last series, but it’s still a fun time travel romp with some surprisingly good science jokes. This is why I love both Red Dwarf and Futurama, they’re first and foremost comedy shows but sometimes they come up with better Sci Fi concepts than the actual serio

Another Red Dwarf finale that would’ve served perfectly as the overall finale (though I am very glad that they made more). Hogey is fun, the simulants are fun and Rimmer gets some really sweet moments in this.

Another ‘Lister has a breakdown over a former girlfriend’ episode, which is always fun! I am not quite sure how many people he dated seriously before ending up on Red Dwarf at age… 23? 25, maybe? But Red Dwarf is never that set on its continuity, so. The Rimmer subplot is also a lot of fun, and Cat
